Guys, I really need some support. I began my half marathon training three weeks ago after running probably less than once a week before that. I am now running two short runs of 4 miles, walking one or two days, and one long run of now up to 6 miles, and increasing weekly. Last weekend (8 days ago) I ate fast food and chocolate cake, all my dailys and the weeklys and gained four pounds in those two days. I stayed within my dailys the rest of the week and was still up one pound so I skipped the meeting and napped after my long run instead. I’ve been staying within my daily points and haven’t used my weeklys or activity points and am up one MORE pound this morning. I’m very discouraged. I was within 10 pounds of my goal weight range. I must keep running and increasing my mileage, as my half is in September. I’m hungry and tired. And doing what I’m supposed to according to weight watchers. But I’m gaining weight! Ugh.
I am also six and half months post-partum and haven’t had a monthly yet. I’m breastfeeding and have those extra 14 points. I depend on the 0 point fruit and veggies. Maybe too much fruit? Maybe not eating all my bf-ing points? Though she isn’t eating any solids yet. I’m not yet sleeping more than 2 hours at a stretch because she wakes and eats in the night.
I’m just so frustrated. If I lost 2 lbs a week, I’d be five weeks from the top of my goal range. It’s so close. I want it so badly. And I thought I was doing everything right. :(
